Membership renewal without completion of actual transaction when payment processor is of notify type

Step to replicate

1. User take membership of General Type today ( April 28th, 2009) it's end date is April 27th, 2011
2. Now Membership Status is New OR change it to Expired manually
3. IF user renew his membership (PayPal standard)
here we first extends his Membership by 2 year,(change the status to New if it was Expired ) before completion of actual transaction
(just confirm the membership and redirect to PayPal site, extends the membership by 2 year April 27th, 2013 )

Solution:
Update the end date or status when we get confirmation of payment.
