Duplicate Records in contribution search while exporting contacts , upgraded CiviCRM 1.9 ->2.2

I have upgraded CiviCRM 1.9 to 2.2.2 and I wanted to export a list of contributions, For example, I do a contribution search for "Online Event Registration: ", and I get 28 records . When I go to export the primary fields, I get a .csv file that has 53 records (lots of duplicates). I guess while upgradeing some values are not set properly in db like for email/phone primary location 1 . so i had to make a script that i m attaching witheld.
