Export function not consistent with Advanced Search results

1) From 'Advanced Search', build a search using one tag and one member type
2) CiviCRM will return X number of records
3) Select the 'All X Records' radio button
4) Select 'Export Contacts' from the drop-down
5) Click 'Go'
6) Step 2 of 3 now reads, "X records selected for export"
7) Select 'Export Primary Fields'
8) Click 'Continue'
9) When the Excel spreadsheet opens, it will have more than 'X' records. It seems that the dump to .CSV strips off the tag criteria and leaves only the member criteria.

Note: I confirmed #9 by doing another search with only the member criteria, but not the tag criteria. The number of records displayed on the 2nd search (not the export) is identical to the number of records in the .CSV dump from the first search.
