Global option to modify all multi-lingual entries in a contact's data by default

We activated multi-language support, because we like to display profiles in some other language next to the English version. However, the feature to have different values in our contact data for each locale, sophisticated as it is, is a little over the top for us, and it means that we have to click on the Ajax widget for every multi-lingual field want to edit (as described here: http://civicrm.org/node/426), and enter every modification multiple times: once for each locale. This is is to our users very unintiutive, it also means more work, and we fear data inconsistancy between locales is waiting to happen.

It would be nice to have a global option to change the semantics of this widget around, according to the following scenario: if you edit the contact data without using the widget, the data for all locales should get updated. If you want to edit just one of the locales, you would have to use the Widget.
