Immediately after login, the top menu hangs down too far in standalone (screenshot attached)

Right after you login to standalone, the menu along the top of the page hangs down too far, obscuring other components and text. However, if you navigate away and then come back to the home page, it's fine. This was tested in Safari 4 and Firefox 3.5, both on Mac (however, in Firefox the other elements scoot down so they aren't obscured, but the menu still takes up more vertical space than it should).
