After performing a duplicate contact merge you have to start the "Find and Merge Duplicate Contacts" admin process again

After merging a duplicate contact you are left on the view contact page with no way to get back to the list of potential contacts to merge.

You have to go back to the civiCRM administration page and start the process again.

Suggest adding a link to go back to the list of contacts to merge or leave some bread crumbs to get back to the list of contacts to merge.
