GMAIL IMAP recently modified their response. This broke ezc Mail Component. Issue was submitted to ezc project here...

...and subsequently fixed.
However, this fix will only appear in a beta to be released on Monday Nov 23.
Ideal fix would be to use newest ezc component when released. Not sure how much depends on this component though and how comfortable civiCRM is to use latest unstable ezc component with the fix.
The specific patch to the ezc project in the above link will not work as is on the current ezc component used in civicrm.
This bug currently causes reply channel processing via a gmail inbox to fail.
