After making a contribution as an anonymous user, event registration is assuming they are coming to the event themselves.

I have a website that allows for online donations, membership sign up and event sign up. None of these expect the user to login. One of the events is a school registration event that allows parents to register their kids for school.

The problem is that when an anonymous user ( such as "Mary Smith" ) signs up for membership ( which works properly) , then registers her kid ( Timmy ) for school, Mary's contact record is updated incorrectly: Her first name is changed to Timmy and she is registered for the school event.

The issue seems to be the same as when a person is logged in and CiviEvent assumes that they are coming to the event themselves. Except in this case, the use is NOT even logged in.

Any work-arounds or temporary fixes are appreciated.
