Autocomplete feature on the search block not working with IE8

      Description

      A javascript error breaks the autocomplete feature on the search block for certain pages. This appears to be an issue only with Internet Explorer 8, but that is the browser of choice for our users so it is important for us.

      This is reproducible on the following pages (among others), and has also been reproduced in the 3.2 sandbox.
