Date Validations not wrking for view/Custom Data

Ths Steps :
1) goto the link
2) (i)enter the leap year date (e.g. 30-02-1999) or (ii)enter date as "31-04-1990"
3) hit "Save"

Current Result :
the updated record get saved withought an Error

Expected Result :
Error should be displayed as "date selected is not valid".
