Custom date fields are not searched on properly

      Description

      This phenomenon was first reported by swettling today, and I discovered the same this evening:

      I am trying to run an advanced search on my contacts, filtering on a DATE custom field, "expiration date".
      The search I am doing is for all contacts where the date is greater than today, which is 9/1/2010.
      When I do this, it returns some results, but they are in correct, as the returned search criteria reads:

      "Expiration Date >= January 20th, 9"

      It should read: "Expiration Date >= September 1st, 2010"

      It seems to be misinterpreting dates in custom data types.
