Search dropdown doesn't play nice with Create New button

            Description

            Steps to reproduce in v3.2.3 in Drupal (and on online demo v29810)...
            Go to the dashboard page
            Click on the Search Dropdown, enter some characters to elicit a response, but don't select any of the returned contacts
            Click on Create New (in the 'CiviCRM Create New Record' block)

            The Create New button has no effect. The page needs to be reloaded before it does take effect.
