Joomla - Research and Implement Component Upgrade Method

      Description

      Currently we only offer a 'complete from scratch' installation for Joomla sites (i.e. there is not scripted/documented method for upgrading an existing Joomla+CiviCRM component installation from one version of CiviCRM to the next).

      For 1.4 - we need to offer a tested, documented upgrade 'method'. As far as i can tell, the only viable method at this point is a file-by-file overwrite into the existing installed component directory followed by running the SQL upgrade script. (We will do some inquiries on the forums to see if there are more integrated approaches possible.)

      NOTE: Eventually we should be able to use the planned Joomla! Update functionality to implement menu-driven upgrades. This is being spec'd for inclusion in Joomla Core at some point. For more info on this project:
