'Created By' field for Contact's Comments to a Note are the entered as the contact, not the user that entered them

Go to a Contact Detail Record (I selected an Individual)
Add a Note for this individual
Click on the more>Add Comment next to the note. The 'Created By' field is populated with the Contact's Name, not the user that created the note.

See screen shot - it should have my user name, but instead it says the contact's name.
