Joomla/JCE editor unusable in CiviMail

When using my instance of Joomla's default WYSIWYG editor "JCE," CiviMail is unable to use defined templates and tokens. The editor itself works fine, but nothing is passed from Civi to the JCE editor when creating a mailing.
