"Merge Contacts" search result action not working properly if more than 2 contacts selected

This action seems to be caching prior duplicate search results (if you do it after you've done Find and Merge Duplicates from Contacts menu), AND it puts up a confusing message ("No possible duplicates were found using rule. " ).

"Merge Contacts" implies that you can merge the contacts that you've selected. This is not the case. AFAICT there is no facility to merge arbitrary contacts. The action should simply be relabelled to "Search for duplicates".
