            Description

            Tested on the sandbox:

            1. Event listing
            The events do not show up front end: I created a menu to events listing which produces a blank page.
            The link generated is this:
            index.php?option=com_civicrm&view=Events&layout=eventlisting

            However, this html link shows the events correctly:
            index.php?option=com_civicrm&task=civicrm/event/ical&reset=1&page=1&html=1

            3. Single event registering
            If you go through the menu to create a single event listing, the event will show up, but the registration button is not working. If you go through the modified url for event listing which I created on the sandbox site, the registration button is working fine.

                  patch attached for the event listing issue

                  i'm not able to reproduce the second issue, but i think that's because it was fixed with #7916

                  the first patch opened iCal?

                  I only applied the patch to my test version, but assuming that should work. The menu now list the events in a list, but if I click on either the event or read more, the iCal is launched. Apologies if I am not applying the patch correctly or doing something else wrong.
