civicrm_group_roles module Error: Unable to sync role

      Description

      After the upgrade to civiCRM 3.40 I started getting Error: Unable to sync role for every login from civicrm_group_roles. Appears to be a bug with API compatability. Explicitely declaring what version of the API to use for the civicrm_api() function fixes the bug. For getting the contact I had to specify version 2, for all others version 3 seemed to work.
