Performance Issue: Dynamic JS For Calendar Should Use Browser Cache

The 1.4 beta UI feels noticeably slower. The reason is that there's a brief hang while each page generates some dynamic JavaScript used for calendrics. The contents of the file are not that volatile (you only need to change it on month boundaries) and it could certainly be cached for an hour or so without causing trouble. You'd gain a noticeably improvement in the time it takes to serve up each page by doing so.
