      Description

So say you are in a rush to send an email to all the participants to civicon. Say that they are 70 people that have registered. You go to the participants, choose all the 70, send email action.

You got the the form, with the 70 in the to field, you craft a lovely message, with care and spending a lot of time finding the right words in a language that isn't your mother tongue.

Happy with the result (and also because you really ought to have sent the email yesterday), you press the send button... and it writes an error message saying that "really, why are you using send an email when you got more than 50 contacts, you should have used send a mass mailing, you moron" (I'm paraphrasing, I violently sent my laptop across the room, can't see the exact error message). Of course, the lovely message crafted with care and bla bla (see above) is lost forever.

Why, on all that is holy, are you waiting the last step to tell you can't handle more than 50 contacts? surely, they were already more than 50 before I started typing the message, they didn't sneak in the to field while I wasn't watching? Pretty sure you did offer me the option to select the 70, then to choose the send a mail action. Dead sure, actually.

Anyway, when there is a step you know you won't be able to proceed through, tell it as early as possible, to avoid the user loose stuff he typed.

      X+

P.S. I did save the message as a template before sending it to the 70, so was less of a loss than I described. still, not good at all UI.
