Using Soft Credit Contribution Feature with External ID Fails

Soft Credit contribution imports using External ID fail. The contributions do not receive a soft credit.

In my work, I am using 4.1.0 stable.

I am attempting to reproduce this bug on the demo site, when I run into another bug in imports which blocks me from showing you this one.

Here is how you reproduce the bug:

1. Create Organization with External ID
2. Create Individual with External ID
3. Attempt to import a contribution made by the Organization using External Id to credit the contribution to an Individual
4. the contribution is imported, but the soft credit is not created.
