Server name is recorded in contact image URL in civicrm_contact.image_URL

we are accessing our database through different URL's sometimes on our office network (http://base/db/) sometimes over ssh tunnel (http://localhost/db) when away from the office. when you add contact image to a contact. reference to it is recorded in civicrm_contact.image_URL. where full URL is recorded together with the server name that at the moment user is using. this causing that people who are accessing database over http://localhost/db/ will not see images added on the office network as they are referenced with URL of the form: http://base/db/files/civicrm/custom/... and this URL is only visible on local network. it would be better to store just a path to a file and add server name according to what people are using to view database.
