Deleted "home" from navigation menu -> edit menu screen doesn't work anymore

administer -> customize data and screen -> navigation menu

right click and delete the "home" menu

reload the page. "home" is not deleted from the navigation menu. you cannot see anymore the menu tree, so you cannot edit/remove any of the present options. You can still add new voices to the menu, but, not seeing them in the tree, you cannot change order or edit them afterwards.

See screenshot attached. No matter if you reload the page, you still don't see the menu tree.

Trying to restore the original menu with civicrm/menu/rebuild?reset=1 does not help.

first you get the "Menu has been rebuilt" message, but you don't see any voice in the menu at all. if I reload the page, I don't see yet the original CiviCRM menu, but my previously modified menu, with Home, and any other custom menu I added.

But I'm stuck, since I still cannot see and edit the menu tree.
