Unable to search on participants associated with a campaign

When I have associated a campaign with an event and there are participants for that event, I expect to be able to do an advanced search for all the participants within that campaign.

I search for Attended/Registered participants and select the campaign (but no event, since I want all the participants at all the events related to that campaign) and get no results. I replicated this on the Drupal demo site.
