      Description

This gives the option to let contacts with the permission to edit a related contact inherit that contact's permission to edit other related contacts. For example, if an organization has the permission to edit all employees (through its relationships), and Amy Employee has the permission to edit the organization granted through her relationship, this option allows her to edit the other employees. This simplifies management because it means she doesn't need to have direct relationships with everyone else. In addition, if Bert Employee is granted permission to edit the organization, he can now edit the others.

This is disabled by default, so there's no change to existing permissions unless you enable it.

For better or worse, this is limited to second-degree relationships. If you have permission to edit your organization, and the organization has the permission to edit someone else, you aren't given that other person's permission to edit his children, spouse, or whatever.
