      Description

I'm having trouble importing relationships in the newly released v1.5 (running on Drupal). I can recreate this bug on my local installation, and on the demo codebase running on the CiviCRM site.

Here are the steps I'm following:

      1. Import household records with legacy External Identifier - SUCCESS
      2. Import individual records
      a. map records as "household member" of "External Identifier" FAILURE
      b. map records as "household member" of "Household name" FAILURE
      c. map records as "household member" of "Email" FAILURE

All three mapping options above fail to create the relationship. Individual records are created, but the relationship is not. I've attached the sample data file I'm working with (two records).

OK, I've been playing with this some more and have discovered that mapping records as "household member" of "household name" does work properly when the import duplicate checking method is set to "update" or "fill".

          • could not replicate

Note : whenever a 'spouse of' relationship is specified, three contacts are created -> 2 individuals & 1 household with the name as that of the surname (other than any household being specified).

          • I tried creating the relationship with the attached sample data. I tried in the following ways.
            I) without considering Ids.
            1) imported as individual
            2) mapped without considering the Ids.
            This successfully created 8 records.
            II) considering Ids
            1) imported households
            2) imported individuals
            3) imported relationship specifying their respective Ids.
If u could send us a screenshot of the mapping u have done (on demo site) OR if u can name the mapping on the demo site, it would be a great help to identify the cause of the problem.
