Description
1. Go into Find and Merge Duplicate Contacts, and select a rule that returns more than 1 result
2. Select a result, click "Merge"
3. Click "Mark this pair as not a duplicate"
What happens: The user is returned to the rule selection screen
Preferred event: The user is returned to the listing of potential duplicates to continue work.
We are finding that the current workflow can be a large pain for people who are trying to merge large backlogs of duplicates (such as when a old system first has its data imported to CiviCRM). The generation of potential duplicates can be time-consuming, and frustrating to them when they have to re-run it every time they mark contacts as not being duplicates (as opposed to marking duplicates, which allows them to continue on the same data set).
