Description
Reminder emails are sent out regardless of people's communication preferences. While it is argued that 'Do not email' really means an admin-settable 'softer' version of 'no bulk emails' rather than what it says I think 'do not trade' is pretty unequivocal & should be respected
OK - so further discussion on IRC determined that
1) Do not trade does not mean 'Do not trade with this person' but rather means 'Do not allow other organisations to contact me in exchange for you being able to contact their mailing lists'.
2) Do not email means 'Do not send CiviMails or direct emails but do send receipts, scheduled reminders, & other transactional emails' (except for pledge status update emails)
3) Do not send bulk emails means 'Do not send CiviMails' but emailing from advanced search is fine
It seems that in 4.4 we can limit scheduled reminders to a list of people so this should allow us to exclude those people who have specifed 'do not email' because they don't want to be emailed. Also, it seems that 'do not trade' has no actual functionality attached to it so it could be used as the organisation sees fit
