Description
Organizations often want to send birthday and anniversary emails to contacts, whether as a simple "happy birthday" or as an invitation to create a personal campaign page to solicit birthday donations from their friends. Likewise, many organizations require staff or volunteers to maintain certifications and want to remind them to renew a certification when the expiration comes soon.
The scheduled reminders feature provides a good framework for this, but until now, it hasn't had the ability to respond to dates on a contact record such as birth date or custom date fields.
This new feature displays all the available date fields as options to select, and it comes with two modes for when reminders are triggered: on the date itself or on that date every year. A CPR certification would only need an email before the actual expiration date, while a birthday email would go out on each anniversary of the actual birth date.
