            Description

            One can configure the CiviCRM installation to display an alert
            on the Administrator Control Panel whenever a new version of CiviCRM
            is available: Administer CiviCRM >> Global Settings >> Miscellaneous
            --> set CiviCRM Version Check to YES.

            This should be set as YES by default!
            Many less security conscious users might miss it, and endanger the security of the site.
