Description
I could have probably read about this somewhere in the documentation, but I just ran into something unexpected when changing contribution statuses of old event registrations.
I was using the action: 'Update Pending Contribution Status' after a search for old pending contributions. See attached screenshot.
At no point I was warned that a Contribution Receipt email was to be sent and at no point I was able to deselect that action form happening. I think the help text should have a warning here that an email is being sent and point people to use 'Batch Update Contributions via profile' if they do not want a mail to be sent.
I think its very misleading, as the action only mentions updating the contribution status.
(Consequence for me: now some 25 people received a contribution receipt for an event that happened in 2014... with me mailing them the confirmation email was a mistake from our part, etcetera)
