Description
On the contact summary screen>Contact Actions list a number of actions appear in 3 columns. The middle column contains items like 'Register for Event', 'Add to Case'. Most of these items are permission based except for the four below which show all the time.
Add Relationship
Add Note
Add to Group
Tag Contact
This request has come from the fact that over the past few years, where a client isn't using Notes and Tags, as a matter of course I'll use word replacement to change the 2 relevant actions so they say 'DON'T USE'.
I think a great improvement would be for these 4 actions to be hidden if certain Display Preferences are set e.g. where it is clear that the organisation doesn't want to use this feature. Like;
Add Relationship - when to hide
If Display Preferences>Viewing Contacts>Relationships is unticked
AND
If Display Preferences>Contact Search>Relationships is unticked
Add Note - when to hide
If Display Preferences>Viewing Contacts>Notes is unticked
AND
If Display Preferences>Editing Contacts>Other Panes>Notes is unticked
AND
If Display Preferences>Contact Search>Notes is unticked
Add to Group - when to hide (less likely use case)
If Display Preferences>Viewing Contacts>Groups is unticked
AND
If Display Preferences>Editing Contacts>Other Panes>Tags and Groups is unticked
AND
If Display Preferences>Contact Search>Groups is unticked
Tag Contact - when to hide
