Description
This bug manifests when
- A membership contribution page includes a membership with the option for automatic renewal, and automatic renewal is selected
- The contribution page has the "Contribution Amounts section enabled" option selected
- The "Separate Membership Payment" option is selected
When the contribution page is used for a membership sign-up, CiviCRM shows an auto-renew membership and an associated recurring contribution, as expected. Authorize.net shows 2 transactions (one for the membership payment and another for the additional contribution), however, the membership transaction is not created as an ARB subscription. Since no ARB is processed, the membership contribution and the membership both stay in "Pending" status forever.
I've only tested this with Authorize.net, but I expect that it's not dependent on which payment processor is in use. I will try to test with PayPal also.
This appears to be the same issue as reported in CRM-14354 against CiviCRM 4.5.
