Description
Gmail unexpectedly released a new "feature" which warns Gmail inbox users when senders / recipients are not sending or receiving encrypted email. Most bulk senders don't currently employ TLS encryption because it's expensive, and Civi isn't an exception. However, this now means that donors see a red lock next to the sender info which warns them "xx did not encrypt this message".
TLS is done by either the mailer (postfix/exim) or the bulk mailer (ex: mandrill / CiviSMTP) but people may need to review whether they are affected and we would ideally document this for them in an announcement / the wiki or book
