Changing event type in new event wizard causes page to reload and entered data to be lost

On demo, in the new event wizard, changing the event type causes the page to reload and any entered data to be lost.

I'm not sure if this is a bug or a feature, but I can't see any advantage to the behaviour since none of the form information on the page seems to change.

If this is for a future feature, could the entered information be saved even though the page is reloaded?
