Description
Currently QuickSearch will only return results of the exact match for external/internal id - as per my Question and coleman's comment here: https://civicrm.stackexchange.com/questions/17734/can-quick-search-be-set-up-so-external-id-does-not-have-to-be-exact-match-to-wor
Using wildcard makes no difference
It seems like it would be more useful if, for example when searching for External ID 'fz123456' that it would either
- deliver results as each character is added (ie same or similar to Name etc) but perhaps, as coleman says, show the exact match if one exists at the top, or state 'no exact match', then list the others underneath
- allow use of wildcard (which I can't see any drawbacks to adding)
Jitendra Purohit - pls let me know what you think either of these would take.
