Description
Adding contacts manually to a Smart Group has been supported for a long time; it's also possible to let contacts add themselves into a Smart Group via a profile field, as long as that Smart Group is marked with Visibility = "Public Pages"
However, on the Contact Dashboard, this isn't possible. Under "Your Group(s)" there's a select2 field labeled "+ Join a Group", but this excludes Smart Groups, even if that Smart Group is marked with Visibility = "Public Pages".
There's an argument to be made against adding contacts manually to Smart Groups, and against letting people add themselves to Smart Groups, but both of those arguments are contradicted by current features.
Making this improvement to the Contact Dashboard will make the user experience consistent with current support for similar capability in Profiles.
