Organic Group creation failing,

i can't work out if this was ever fixed. Trying to sync organic groups with CiviCRM. Groups created in Drupal but not CiviCRM - this seems to be a long running issue, see CRM-2438

Fresh Drupal 5.7 install
CiviCRM 2.03 and 2.04 attempted
OG-5.x-7.2.tar.gz

installed and activated CiviCRM (with '.txt.' removed on the og_sync module), then OG, then activated the sync module.

On group creation...

I am new to both modules but have tried 5 or 6 installs now, no dice.

Would really love to have these 2 working together. I'm no PHP dude so sorry I can't really contribute any more to this, but would really like to at least know if this is broken so I can seek alternative modules. Alternatively, if older versions are known to play nicely together this would help.
