Description
Make all "move related.. fields" checked by default, since operation with these fields are of additive nature but if left unchecked (unintentional) might result in unexpected data loss.
All "move related.. fields" include - components + activities + groups + relationships + tags.

When merging, contributions should be merged from the duplicate record by default, if not mandatorily. It's critical that contribution records are not carelessly deleted.

Current behavior is: contribution records are merged if "Move related... Contributions" checkbox is checked, which is the expected behavior for 2.3.
Closing the issue since we didn't receive any further clarification.
The issue is that you affirmatively have to check a box to merge over contribution records. That's dangerous.
Need to re-spec the issue.

Not sure i understand this bug and the use case. Can u elaborate
In merging, we basically just flip the contact_id of the contribution record to the one that is left behind (assuming the user has checked that they want contribution records to be merged)
