Description
I have an event whose location is an address in London.
The public event page shows the location as:
(address)
London, xLON (postcode)
United Kingdom
The text 'xLON' appears to be from the abbreviation field in the database. It shouldn't be shown here.

You can always adjust the display format to eliminate showing state province if you so desire. The settings can be modified here: http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/setting/preferences/address?reset=1
In the US it is fairly common to use state abbreviations
In general it is better to discuss things on forum before filing an issue

And sorry for filing in the wrong place – this really did look like a bug to me, and still does. I live and work in London and I've never heard of 'xLON' as an abbreviation, or indeed any of the abbreviations you have in the database for counties and cities in the UK.
