      Description

There should be WYSIWYG show/hide options similar to how it is dealt with in drupal:

      • Show on every page except the listed pages / Show on only the listed pages

OR, I noticed here http://issues.civicrm.org/jira/browse/CRM-3047 that there are 5 uses for it. In the settings you could have check boxes next to each of these uses so that an admin could turn it on/off for each section.

It can slow down page loads and turn them buggy (especially fckeditor). For example, profile settings pages. If I have a WYSIWYG editor selected, it will use it for the pre-form and post-form help sections, and when using fckeditor this sometimes causes the 'advanced' settings area not to load. In general, it just slows down the page. I for one would only want it enabled on composing html email pages.

I don't think this should be pushed to 3 because currently if you have a wysiwyg editor picked and you go to create a profile, it breaks the 'advanced options' link and you can't see it or use it. so EVERY TIME you need to get to an advanced option, you have to disable the wysiwyg, go back to the profile, edit the settings, submit, then go back and re pick the wysiwyg. This will cause newbies to think there is no advanced option area at all and will generate more questions in the forum, etc.

At the very least, it should be hard-coded ASAP (2.1) to never show up at civicrm/admin*. Screenshot attached of this issue from drupal.demo.civicrm.org on a profile create screen (http://drupal.demo.civicrm.org/civicrm/admin/uf/group?action=add&reset=1)

These 448 issues have not been worked on for the past 18 months.

Doing a bulk close of old issues to make the issue queue more manageable. We should do this on a periodic basis.
