Highlight tabs that contain data, or grey out tabs that do not contain data in an individual, household or organization record

One of my customers has asked for the following:
"... if you have an individual or household entry open, there are a number of tabs at the top. Is it possible to have the tab highlight if there is content on that tab?"

This would be a "nice to have" feature and could be done either by highlighting the tabs with content behind them, or greying out those with no content behind them.
