Advanced Search or Find Activities will not locate Membership Renewal Reminder type activites

I have located several Membership Renewal Reminder activity types in my database. The Advanced Search or Find Activities tools will not locate these records, the query results are null, even though these activities exist.

Am I missing something or doing the search incorrectly?
