Festival Scheduling

Planning a festival requires a large number of volunteers, switching tasks regularly throughout the day, over two or more days. They come for the one event, and are usually not engaged on an ongoing basis throughout the year. The existing tools almost handle this, but the interfaces are large and slow. It becomes an impractical task for the planners, and they resort back to spreadsheets.
