Description
J! 1.6 has a brand new flexible permissioning system.
1. CiviCRM should expose its permissioning system to the J! backend AND frontend in a similar manner to Drupal. i.e. the "super user" can decide what aspects of CiviCRM different users can control. Thus admin A can only view all contacts but not see contribution info, which admin B can also eit all contacts and see other information.
2. The above changes should allow joomla sites to use CiviCRM ACL's and also ACL hooks
3. A "sensible" set of defaults should be assigned to usergroups on install/upgrade. This set to be determined in conjunction with the joomla civicrm community
4. If time permits, use joomla functionality to split "actions" across sections and make the action listing a bit more user friendly
